In Chelyabinsk, a street and square in the western part of Chelyabinsk in the Parkovy-2 neighbourhood and the neighbouring 19th micro-district are named after Peter Sumin. This new neighbourhood is predominantly inhabited by young families. The garden has spruces, lindens, apple trees, spherical willows and other plants. Quiet location with lots of fresh air. It is a nice place to take a walk with your family.
There is also a memorial plaque in the city centre on
Sonja Krivaya Street
on house No 30 where P.I. Sumin lived. This house is situated in the centre of the city, next to
Lenin Avenue
and Sverdlovskiy Avenue. Pyotr Ivanovich did not hide out in mansions outside the city, but lived like everyone else in a flat in a high-rise building.
